The Golden Vale Milk Clare Community Games organisation participates in most of the activities available in the HSE Community Games calendar. The events are scheduled so that local Area, County and Munster finals all take place prior to the three National Finals weekends in the Summer. Areas usually commence training in the Autumn and then County competitions run from early January through to June, with the last National competition taking place near the end of August.
In some events, (e.g. Athletics, Art, Talent etc.) County qualifiers go straight through to the National Finals, but in other events, County qualifiers have to first compete, and win, the Munster (Provincial) competitions, which generally take place in March and July.
