The Badminton competition caters for the Under 15 age group. The panel of 10 consists of 5 Boys and 5 Girls, at least 6 must present to start.
Competitors must be under the age limit on 31st July in the year of competition.
The format of the match will be girls’ doubles, boys’ doubles and 3 mixed doubles. A boy may play in the boys’ doubles and in one mixed doubles only. A girl may play in the girls’ doubles and in one mixed doubles only. The first mixed doubles must be made up of players from the team panel who have not played in the girls’ doubles or boys doubles.
A match will consist of 5 games and all 5 games must be played. Each game consists of the best of 3 sets.

The County finalists progress to the Munster finals around March, and the winners of the Munsters progress to the Nationals in May.
