Congratulations to the Under 15 Culture Corner team from Cratloe who secured Silver in the HSE Community Games National Finals in Athlone at the weekend (28-30th May 2010).

The Culture Corner competition caters for the Under 15 age group, with mixed panel of between 3 and 6 children.
The performance is a live 10 minute stage presentation on the theme of ‘Stories & Folklore of Ireland’ and must include a narrator. No pre-recorded music or sounds, or props, are permitted and all aspects of the presentation must be performed by the team members. Chairs may be used for seating on stage and costumes may be used to depict the character being played.
There is a 1 point penalty per 30 seconds over 10 minute time limit. The points are broken out as follows: - Use of Talent and Versatility - 20 Marks; Interpretation of Theme - 50 Marks; Overall Entertainment - 30 Marks
Competitors must be under the age limit on 31st July in the year of competition.

The winning County team goes through to represent Clare in the National Finals in May.
