The Clare Community Games Futsal competition, for U13 Boys & Girls, co-ordinated once again by Flan Brennan, took place on Sunday 22 April in St. Flannan's, Ennis. The Girls from Miltown-Malbay and the Boys from Ennis St John's both won Gold and will represent Clare in the Munster competition in July.

Golden Vale Milk Clare Community Games were back in action again after the Easter Season with the Futsal Competitions on Sat 30th April in St Flannans College, Ennis, co-ordinated by Flan Brennan with two referees Martin and John. The standard of competition was very high with some very exciting games. On Sat morning it was the boys competition where only 5 teams took part. Ruan were beaten by a much stronger Killimer/Knockerra, Ennis B were also beaten by a very strong Inch/Connolly/Kilmaley on a score of 5-1. In the semi-final,Killimer and Inch/Connolly/Kilmaley were tied on full time with Inch edging ahead by 1 point in extra time to earn them a place in the final. The final was a very exciting match with Ennis A and Inch/Connolly/Kilmaley level at full time and again after extra time. Inch/Connolly/Kilmaley came out winners on 3-2 after penalty shoot out.
In the afternoon it was the time of the girls with only 4 teams taking part. Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry beat Ruan on a score of 3-0 in a very good match. Cratloe came out winners against Ennis 3-1. Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry took on near neighbours Cratloe in the final, which proved to be a very tough and exciting match and a repeat of last year's final. Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry were the winners on 4-2. Both Inch/Connolly/Kilmaley and Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry now go on to represent Clare in the Munster finals in U.L. on Sat 9th July.

The Futsal competition caters for Boys and Girls in the U/13 age group.
A panel consist of up to 8 players, 5 players and 3 subs. If a team is reduced to less than 4 players, a walkover will be given.
Competitors must be under the age limit on 31st July in the year of competition.

County winners progress to the Munster Finals in July and the Provincial winners progress to the National Finals in Athlone on the second weekend in August, usually towards the end of August.

The Boys Under 13 Futsal team, from Ennis St.Johns, won the Gold in the Munster finals in July in UL. At the National finals in Athlone in August 2010, they won their semi-final. In the final, they were narrowly beaten by Carlow in a penalty shoot out after extra time, and returned home with Silver medals (Gerard Kennedy, Cathal Lynch, William Twumasi, Ronan Kerin, Barry Woods, James Coakley, Patrick McDaid). |

The Golden Vale Milk Clare Community Games Futsal competitions for Boys & Girls took place on Saturday 15th May in Corofin. The competition was very well co-ordinated by Flan Brennan and his team. The medals were presented by County Chairman Fiach McHugh. There was some very exciting matches with Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry girls & the Ennis St John’s boys coming out with gold. The winners in each now go forward to represent Clare in the Munster Finals in July.
