The Golden Vale Milk Clare Community Games Project competition took place on Wed 2nd March in Sixmilebridge National School, coordinated by Mary McNamara. Many thanks to the the school for providing the venue and especially to the three judges on the night: Siobhan Moroney, Louise Reidy and Claire Vaughan. Well done to all who participated - they put a huge amount of work into their projects and displays.

The winning U11 team from Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry
There were 5 entries in the U11 competition (Garden Birds, are they a help or a hindrance to the garden? What birds are present in your garden?), which was won by the Hamilton boys from Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry. In the U13 competition (Littering: Draw up a plan to fight against littering in your local area. Design a poster for an anti littering campaign), there were 3 entries, with gold going to one of the Cratloe teams. There was only one very impressive entry from Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry in the U16 competition (Renewable energy sources in Ireland. Are they in Ireland’s future?). Best of luck to the three winning teams at the Nationals in May.
