Quin/Clooney won Gold in all 4 events in the County Cycling Competition.
Talent Success
Quin/Clooney won 6 of the 10 events in the County Talent Show.
Christmas Raffle
The Parish annual Community Games Draw took place at the Community Centre in Quin. The lucky winner of the hampers were: Tommy Brooks, Pat Taylor and Donal O'Criodáin.
The sellers prize of a brand new bicycle went to Alex McConway. Thanks to all who supported the raffle and wishing everyone a very happy Christmas and best wishes for 2012 from the Community Games committee.
Activities
Quin/Clooney Community Games takes part in a large range of activites at County level: Art & Model Making, Draughts, Quiz, Futsal, Indoor & Outdoor Soccer, Basketball, Tag Rugby, Hurling & Camogie, Pitch & Putt, Athletics, Cycling, Swimming, Talent (music, singing & dancing), Projects, Handball & Rounders.
Successes in 2011
Last season was another successful one for the area, with County All-Star winners in Art, Model-Making, Cycling, Handball and Tag Rugby. The area was well represented at the National Finals weekends in August Weekend 3 in the athletics and Weekend 2 in cycling and swimming where bronze and 4th place medals were won. Earlier in the year the Modern Disco Dance team won gold in the May National weekend. Many more took part in local area and county events and the local and county athletics field day.
