County Talent Show 2012 Print

The Golden Vale Milk Clare Community Games Annual Talent Show, co-ordinated by Mary Phelan & Mary Lenihan, with MC Sean Stack, took place last Sunday 25th March in Sixmilebridge GAA Hall. Many thanks to the judges, Bridget Kelly, Niamh Kelly, Ciara Griffin, Gráinne Egan and Mary Lenihan.  Quin/Clooney did exceptionally well and won six of the ten events.  Full results are listed below.  Best of luck to all finalists who go forward to represent Clare in the National Finals in Athlone in May.

County Talent Show 2011 Print

Congratulations to all who took part in the Golden Vale County Clare Talent Show on 5th March in Sixmilebridge GAA Hall. Thanks to Golden Vale Milk, the main County sponsors and to all those who helped out, especially MC Sean Stack, the youth volunteers and the judges. The judges had a difficult time as the quality and entertainment value of all the acts was exceptionally high. We wish all the Gold Medal winners best of luck in the National Finals in Athlone on May 27-29. They are reminded to get birth cert and passport size photo to the area or county secretary ASAP!

About Talent Print

The Talent Competition caters for Boys and/or Girls in the Under 14 age group.  Competitors must be under the age limit on 31st July in the year of competition.

The Solo/Individual events (boy or girl) are as follows: - Solo Dance (Modern & Disco); Solo Singing; Solo Recitation and Solo Music.

The team events comprise a panel of 2 to 6 for all events except Set Dancing (panel of 10 with 8 competing). Team events are as follows: - Group Dance (Modern & Disco); Group Dance (Irish or Contemporary); Set Dancing; Group Singing; Group Music; Group Drama or Comedy Sketch.

Full Talent Competition rules and judging criteria are available on the Community Games website.

First and second place in each category from each Area go through to the County finals, which usually take place in Sixmilebridge early in the year (Feb/Mar).

The winner of each category at County level goes through to represent Clare in the National finals, at the first weekend, usually towards the end of May.

National Talent Show 2010 Print

Congratulations to the Under 14 Set Dancing Team from Carrigaholt/Cross who came first in the HSE Community Games National Set Dancing competition in Athlone at the weekend (28-30 May 2010). Conor Downes, Sean Bonfil, Damien Griffin, Aoife Hassett, Clodagh O'Callaghan, Ciara McQuaid, Laura Dunphy, Tomas Bonfil, Mark McQuaid & Leah Daly.
