Variety 2010 Print

The Golden Vale Milk Community Games Variety competition was held in Sixmilebridge GAA Hall on 25th May. Although there were only two teams from the neighbouring areas of Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry and Cratloe competing, the competition was keen and of the usual high quality. Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry came out winners on the night and went on to represent Clare in the Munster Finals in July.  Many thanks to the judges: Ann Hayes (Lissycasey), Bridget Kelly (Limerick) and Paula McMahon (O'Callaghan's Mills); to the timekeeper Agnes O'Dowd (Limerick) and to Sixmilebridge GAA Club for the use of the hall.

The team from Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry went on to compete in the National Finals in Athlone in August where they won the Rita Farrelly trophy for best cultural content.
